94% of epg customers are already individually re-metered
jsc energo-pro georgia actively continues individual re-metering activities in the regions. the company serves over 1 mln customers, 94% out of which have already been individually re-metered, by the end of the year the figure will increase and 98% of the company customers will be able to use european standard individual meters.
from january of the ongoing month company has re-metered 4500 customers in 34 villages; the investment scope of this very project amounted gel 1 575 000.
at present epg carries out individual re-metering activities in 57 villages. individual re-metering does not mean only installation of individual meters, it maintains the rehabilitation of network as well, in frame of which depreciated poles and cables in the low voltage 0.4 kv network are being replaced with new ones.
„individual re-metering continues actively, as in fact individual re-metering project one of the priority projects for our company. our technical team tries its best to provide works efficiently, which helps us to facilitate high quality service for our customers. after the complete fulfillment of the re-metering project, our company will carry out more investments in the medium and high voltage networks” – said high and low voltage network manager epg grigol mamiseishvili.
according to the individual re-metering plan, by the end of 2016 company plans to install individual meters to 40 000 customers, which means allocation of 14 000 000 gel investment and the project is completely financed by epg.

jsc “energo-pro georgia” has completed two very important projects in adjara. the first project was preparation for summer tourist season. within the summer season preparation, the company has undergone full rehabilitation of 7 substations in the region. also, transformers were replaced at 22 transformer substations, the old underground cables were replaced by new ones. works were carried out in low and high voltage networks. the company has invested more than 3 million gel for this project. today management of jsc energo-pro georgia has visited the works performed in adjara on site. as a result of rehabilitation works, grid infrastructure is being improved a lot, which gives the opportunity to load the grid to the maximum during the touristic season. through rehabilitated and renewed grid company improves customers service and decreases emergency shut down possibility to the minimum. the second important project, which jsc “energo-pro georgia” completed in adjara, included individual re-metering of customers. individual re-metering in whole adjara is completed by khulo region village rakvati. for the implementation of re-metering project company invested gel 37 450 000. european standard meters were installed to all the customers in adjara; through these meters customers will be able to control their own electricity consumption and pay the bill in accordance to ones own meter. “by the completion of re-metering in village rakvati we completed one of the most important projects of our company in adjara – individual re-metering. our technical team carried out the works efficiently which fostered improvement of customer service quality. after the completion of re-metering we will continue working on other important projects and investments in the average and high voltage network for provision of its safety and security” – reports the company.

employss of “energo-pro georgia” conducted the lesson on energy to the pupils of public school n 31 of tbilisi and introduced the specificity of energy field to them. company specialists talked to the pupils on energy, safety nessessary measures and company activity, responded to their questions and provided them with the information on perspectives of the professional activity in this field.

jsc energo-pro georgia in cooperation with usaid will hold “opening lessons” at 50 schools in various regions of georgia. major goal of the project is popularization of energy and electricity engineering fields, which is the part of the strategy of human resource department of the company.
during the study period, company employees will explain to the 8th and 9th grade pupils methods of electricity generation, situations and areas threatening life and health; hold practical tests and etc.; in frame of the same project, schools will be presented special constructing models of hpps, warning banners, booklets and attendance certificates.

in frame of winter preparation project in daba bakuriani, jsc energo-pro georgia continues electricity grid rehabilitation activities. as a result of the activities, electricity supply and quality of the supply to 3000 epg customers in bakuriani will improve significantly. in this regards, jsc energo-pro georgia plans to invest up to 500 000 gel. in frame of the project 2 new 10 kv feeder lines will be constructed, new underground cable system will be installed, 35 kv substations and distribution points rehabilitated; and what is most important, new central transmission point will be arranged; fulfilled activities will increase reliability of the network and in case of emergency the rapidness of the reaction. rehabilitation activities in daba bakuriani started on october 22 and will be completed in a month period.
