jsc "energo-pro georgia" has joined the new czech-georgian scientific program. the aim of the program is to popularize the field of energy among young students, to promote the development of the education system, as well as to deepen cooperation between georgian and czech universities. the presentation of the project was held at the czech embassy. the presentation was opened by the ambassador of the czech republic to georgia peter mikiska, the head of the human resources management department of jsc "energo-pro georgia" giorgi trapaidze, the representative of the czech technical university in prague, dr. peter novak and jan chernik, deputy chief of staff of the czech embassy. the project facilitates cooperation between the technical university of prague, the georgian technical university and akaki tsereteli state university. the main goal is to promote the development of hydropower direction and to introduce modern approaches in the educational processes. cooperation is also an opportunity for lecturers from czech and georgian universities to exchange experience and improve their skills. in addition to receiving a high quality education, students will be able to undergo enterprise practice / internship at energo-pro under the supervision of professional mentors. upon completion of the internship, successful students will be given the opportunity for employment and further career development in the company. "based on our experience, when discussing the education system, a very big gap was revealed in the field of energy. from year to year it was difficult to find qualified young professionals for further employment. obviously, this is a very important issue for our company. in course of such difficult challenges, about 5 years ago we revised the company's "strategy development plan". since then, our main priority has been to support the education system and popularize the energy sector, in which direction we have implemented a number of successful projects. as for this project and the grant funded by the czech government, where our company is represented as a partner, we think that this project will be very important in the process of eu integration, because high quality education will make young people more competitive from the first day of entering the labor market." - said giorgi trapaidze, head of human resources management department of energo-pro georgia.

jsc "energo-pro georgia" won the nomination "business partner of vocational education 2019" established by millennium challenge fund. the company received the national award for vocational education. "receiving the national award for vocational education is a great honor and success for us. one of the main priorities of jsc "energo-pro georgia" is the promotion and popularization of vocational education as one of the important components of the development of the energy sector. in this direction, a number of projects have been implemented in jsc "energo-pro georgia". we cooperate with up to 20 private or public vocational schools, mainly in the field of electrical engineering. students of vocational schools are given the opportunity to undergo practical training and internships in the company with a real prospect of future employment. the company implements a student "summer employment" program every year. in order to encourage excellent students, we pay scholarships to students every month, for the entire period of study, "- said giorgi trapaidze, head of the human resources development department of jsc" energo-pro georgia ". the national vocational education award competition was held on july 30 at the “stamba” hotel with the support of the millennium challenge fund and the ministry of education, science, culture and sports of georgia. about 150 companies and individuals from different fields took part in the competition.

on behalf of jsc “energo-pro georgia” fake advertising announcement is still being spread  in social networks and video platforms. upon appearance of the video on january 11, legal department of jsc “energo-pro georgia” sent notificationto the cyber safety hotline of ministry of internalaffairs of georgia. official letter was also sent to the tbilisi police department of ministry of internal affairs of georgia. authors of the deceitful scheme try to attract  amount through classic financial   pyramid. jsc “energo-pro georgia” categorically declares that the spread statement is false and has no connection  with the company activity.  in the spread virus video  citizens of georgia and visitors of the country are  called in russian language to fund into the  vague financial operation. energy company  calls for the  citizens  not to be deceived by such  fraudulent offers and not to be registered  on their platforms. jsc “energo-pro georgia” is one of the largest company that represents the  eu country in georgia. it is the part of czech company which is operating  in energy sector in few member countries of eu and out of the boundaries.  jsc “energo-pro georgia”  is also one of the largest  employer company in georgia.   

"we can already conclude that an increase in the consumer tariff is unfortunately necessary. it should be noted that the current tariff was set for january 1, 2018 for a period of 3 years. the current tariff, for objective reasons, has long been unable to reimburse dramatically increased costs for electricity purchases or other directions. we have been in a severe financial crisis for 10 months now, we have had to abandon all development plans, significantly reduce investment projects, even it became complicated to finance the salary fund. despite these difficulties, with the help of the founding group and the banking sector, we were still able to meet our obligations and maintain all our employees. however, such a reduction of investment projects, naturally has a negative impact on the quality of service and the indicators of uninterrupted electricity supply, "- said the director general of the company mikheil botsvadze. as for the subsequent tariff, it is first emphasized that the tariff increase should not be perceived as a requirement of the company. "we are all aware of the sensitivity of the issue and the social factor. moreover, a significantly increased tariff will lead to an increase in problem debts or various risks for us. however, on the other hand, if the purchased electricity costs and necessary investment projects are not fully funded, the company simply can not continue to operate, the issue of electricity supply will be at risk, and this will primarily harm the interests of the customers, "- said mikheil botsvadze. "of course now it is the turn of the electricity regulatory commission, we put the full responsibility upon them.  for the last several weeks we have sever debates on each parameter, which causes tariff correction, there are number of disagreed issues. we want to believe that the decision of the regulatory commission will be balanced and adequate to the difficult situation, there is simply no other way, all resources are exhausted! "- said the director general of the company.

“in accordance with the requirements of the energy law, "energo-pro georgia" completed the process of separation of business activities within the specified term. the electricity supply and trade businesses were separated from the distribution (grid owner) company, and a holding company was established. the management structure has also been changed, the companies will be managed by the newly created boards of directors, which have been staffed with experienced and professional personnel” - reads the announcement spread by jsc "energo-pro georgia". during the transition period, customers will not experience any delays in terms of electricity supply, various services or payments, a specific plan has been developed to ensure this. customers can contact us with any questions through the hotline and social network. within the framework of its obligations under the association agreement with the european union, the country is implementing significant reforms in the field of energy, a number of agencies have already carried out very fruitful and effective activities during the reform process. practically, the legislative and/or normative base of the business activity was re-created, a number of new procedures and/or methodologies were developed. "of course, "energo-pro" is engaged in this important process, we regularly participate in discussions. we welcome the implementation of european regulations in georgia, the experience and knowledge of our european colleagues is very important, these reforms will give impetus to the rapid development of the sector. " - said mikheil botsvadze, chairman of the board of directors of jsc "energo-pro georgia holding". the most positive thing is that as a result of the reform, the situation will change fundamentally in many directions, market liberalization will increase competition, investment growth will be stimulated, we will actually get alike standard network as in european countries, electricity trade will become more transparent, customers' tariffs will eventually be released from political speculation or pressure, and most importantly, all these will have a positive impact on the quality of customer service. this does not mean that the tariff increase will happen inevitably, on the contrary, we may even get a reduction in some components, instead the business will stabilize, financial or commercial results will be easily predictable, we will be able to prevent risks more effectively, various external factors will not harm companies and accordingly we will no longer have to constantly correct-reduce investment plans. the reform and implemented new approaches will ensure a way out of this unfortunate circle in the medium term when, on the one hand, the increase of the end-user tariff becomes inevitable, and on the other - we still cannot ensure a significant recovery of the network and consequently reduction of emergency suspensions rate. "now the most important is to complete the process, to successfully launch the energy exchange, to conduct all processes based on the principles of justice, and "energo-pro" in its turn continues to be involved in the process and full support of the reforms," - said mikheil botsvadze.

summer, paid internship program, which ran from july 17 to september 17, was successfully completed at "energo-pro georgia" jsc.   most of the 13 interns have already received job offers from the company. students of higher educational institutions and professional colleges, as well as newly graduated young people, undertook internships at the relevant departments of the company and at power stations. undoubtedly, professional energy engineers and other specialists were engaged in developing their professional, practical skills.
