JSC ENERGO-PRO Georgia plans to transfer to its balance electricity network of Bakhmaro and Beshumi

In course of the fact that Bakhmaro and Beshumi feeding and distribution network is depreciated and in a terrible condition, electricity supply is carried out with interruptions to its customers, safety norms are to be ordered in compliance with the existing standards. JSC ENERGO-PRO Georgia discusses taking the network of these two resorts to the company balance, renovation of their energy infrastructure and improvement of electricity supply of both resorts. At present Bakhmaro and Beshumi networks are under the supervision of local municipalities and accordingly, company will start negotiations with their representatives.

JSC “ENERGO-PRO Georgia” Statement on Allegations of “Salvus Development” Owner Giorgi Sozashvili

On July 13, 2018, on the territory of Mtskheta Service Center of JSC “ENERGO-PRO Georgia”, Napetvrebi, company employees discovered disguised bus in the woods, where crypto currency miners were installed. Mentioned bus consumed electricity bypassing the metering circuit. In addition to the power theft, the rules of electricity consumption safety were completely violated. Consequently, with the full observance of the law, the administrative protocol was concluded on the ground. Due to this, the company applied to the law enforcement agencies. There was a risk that the mentioned bus would also carry out out-of-law consumption in other areas and violate the safety rules that would create threat to life.

Electricity Consumption in Adjara Increased by 25 % for the last one year

In year 2017 pick load of Batumi city and Kobuleti exceeded 117 MW/hrs, which is by 25% more than for the same period in 2016; cases of new connections also have been increased, enhancing demand on electricity. To satisfy the demand, it is necessary to provide new capacities, which is impossible at present due to the technical condition of HV line “Erge 1”. Mentioned line had been constructed in the 30ies of the 20th century. Therefore, capital reconstruction and repair of the line is necessary for the improvement of the line capacity at least twice; This on the other hand will provide secure and stable energy supply of Batumi and Kobuleti.

In frame of the summer employment program initiated by the human resource management department, 3rd and 4th grade students and newly graduates of the energy faculty, as well as students of Vocational colleges majoring in energy and electricity engineering will have the opportunity to undertake 2 month paid internship at the company.

In frame of energy field popularization project, JSC ENERGO-PRO Georgia holds open lessons to public schools’ pupils in regions. At the open lessons company employees introduced the 8th and 9th grade pupils to the methods of electricity generation, held practical joyful tests and etc. Pupils also had sightseeing tours at the company owned HPPs.
