In view of the increase of electricity consumption at winter resort zones, technical service of JSC "Energo-Pro Georgia" launches the first stage of network rehabilitation works. Old power transformers at the HV substation has already been replaced with a new, more powerful one that will be put into exploitation by the end of the month. In frame of the rehabilitation works, installation of 3 km underground cable will be carried out by the end of the year.
The second stage of the works will start next year, the new distribution point will be constructed, the substation "Bakuriani" will be completely reconstructed, apart from that rehabilitation and reconstruction of three high voltage power transmission lines (Tsemi-1, Tsemi-2, Tsemi-3) will be carried out.
“Increase of electricity supply, especially is indicated in resort zones, among which of course one of our priorities is stabile electricity supply of Bakuriani. Despite the fact that significant technical projects have been implemented in Bakuriani, company decided to implement larger projects. Commancement of these works is significant for the area. After the completion of the project, electricity supply of Bakuriani will become more safe and secure, which will assist development of tourism” – said General Director of EPG Mikheil Botsvadze.
Implementation of this project will be completed by the end of 2019 and in total JSC ENERGO-PRO Georgia will invest 6,200,000 GEL.
