ENERGO-PRO Georgia is supplying electricity with suspensions to 8% of customers in Western Georgia. The situation is particularly difficult in Guria. ENERGO-PRO Georgia managed to mobilize additional technical brigades from almost all of Georgia in Guria and Adjara in a short time after the weather deteriorated.
Electricians are still in the mentioned places. However, due to heavy snowfall, the movement of equipment on the roads is complicated. As a result, it is difficult to reach the damaged areas.
Electricians have to approach the damaged energy infrastructure on foot and carry out restoration work, and in some cases, even moving on foot is difficult. At the moment, electricity is being supplied with suspensions to approximately 8% of customers in Western Georgia. The situation is particularly difficult in Guria, where electricity supply is being suspended to approximately 28% of the customers (16,000 subscribers). At the moment, the disaster is also affecting Imereti, especially the Vani municipality.
ENERGO-PRO Georgia’s technical service is working in a special mode here as well,” the company reports in a statement.
